Is herbicide safe for my children and pets?

The simple answer is yes. However there are some guidelines to follow. The chemical applied is generally safe to pets and humans once it has dried on the leaf. This means it is a good idea to keep off of the treated areas for 2-3 hours following application or until you are sure it is dry. This will prevent any chemical transferring to hands or paws. If you have rabbits or other grazing animals it is best to keep them off the treated areas for 2-3 weeks. We can leave an area untreated for animals to graze and then move them onto the treated area once it is safe. If you prefer a feed for the lawn to be herbicide free then just ask for no herbicide to be sprayed. If the grass is healthy it is harder for weeds to invade the lawn. Many homeowners are becoming increasingly happy to have weeds (wildflowers) on the lawn as they are beneficial to many pollinators.
